Ah! My favorite languages! As a traveler and youthful bilingual I have had the opportunity to speak these and languages along the Pacific. Because I have sometimes had to hurry with my preparations to visit, I have allowed myself to learn differently based on whether I need to form relationships (long term stay), or just be able to survive a day or two in the country. While I never taught my ESL or SSL classes with a unit on observation and spiritual unity, I have found that when my Chinese friends forgot to speak English (just for me) I allowed myself to meld into their system, and was able to respond to the conversation (though in English). I have found online training convenient for short term situations. While I am interested in what you are doing, I do not really know that I have something to contribute. Maybe we could talk about it.
