Dr. Will Powers (an ILA member) developed the unique CK Learning System and founded Concept Keys, Inc.  The CK Learning System has been extraordinarily successful for thousands of college students and adult learners in a wide variety of environments that range from Education to Sports to Aeronautical and Aerospace Industries. Listening Is Learning
Described and Captioned Media Program (DCMP) is a nonprofit, U.S. Department of Education-funded organization that provides free access to captioned and described educational media to teachers, families, and others working to educate K-12 students who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind, visually impaired, or deaf-blind.

Listening is Learning (LIL) is a year-round effort to raise awareness about the need for quality description--primarily description of video-based educational media--and to develop resources and new applications for description in the educational environment. Description is narration that translates images into spoken words, particularly for the benefit of people who are blind or visually impaired. However, because of the dual-channel structure of the human brain, description can also improve learning for people who are NOT blind or visually impaired.  http://listeningislearning.org/
