Why virtual? This year’s ILA convention will be virtual, enabling us to better reach people around the globe. Hosting the convention online allows us to expand our global reach and engage members and participants from around the world. As part of this goal, we will be implementing several new approaches and will share additional updates with you in the coming months as we prepare to break new ground together.

Program Design
The convention program has been thoughtfully designed by Annie Rappeport and introduces a new format. Please note that there will not be a traditional Call for Proposals this year. Instead, members may be invited by the convention team to contribute to specific components centered around pre-designed listening questions.
Global Scheduling
To support participation from members across different regions of the world, session times will vary from day to day. This means that some sessions may align better with certain time zones than others. The daily session blocks, based on U.S. Central Time (CT), are as follows:

Monday, Sept 14, 5pm to 9pm CT (USA)
Tuesday, Sept 15, 1am to 5am CT (USA)

Registration
Registration will open soon through the Kiku platform. Once registered, participants will receive the link needed to access the convention sessions.
Member Participation
If you would like to contribute to the convention in any way, we welcome your involvement. While we have assembled a strong convention team, we are always eager to include additional members—particularly those with experience in organizing or managing virtual events.
